After feedback from many Pacifica affiliate program directors, there will be two weekday versions of the show:
Since each hour of the show is designed to be self contained within itself the only difference between the first hour ot the 2 hour version and the first of the 2-1 hour versions will be an alternately recorded last minute of the first hour and instead of a bumper, the closing theme will be inserted to make a single hour a complete show unto itself.
Since we will always open the top of each hour with the show's opening theme, no change here will be necessary.
USPLAN Background
US Progressive Liberty Airwaves Network launched in December, 2006 with internet broadcasts of the show Conspiracy Keepers with Scooter McGee and Joe Lanier which we drove to the top of the Live365 talk and political genres by April, 2007. At that time, the success of the internet show spawned the conversion of the show to terrestrial radio when it was renamed the Scooter McGee Show (with the Conspiracy Keepers becoming the friday evenings broadcasts of the show).
The Scooter McGee Show can be heard nationwide, via its home station KFKA 1310 AM - Greeley, Colorado.
USPLAN continued its production support of the Scooter McGee Show until the end of 2007 to insure the show and cast could appeal to a broad enough audience to continue without our support. The principle force behind the show here at USPLAN, who acted as executive producer of the show in the initial internet show, than later terrestrial show was John M. Curry.
John crafted the final format of the Scooter McGee Show, contributed comedic material and supplied 70% of the guests for the show in that first year of their broadcast. When separating our involvement with the Scooter McGee Show, in looking for a new host and show to pilot, after a few months, we realized we already had that talent and show right here in our midst, with John Curry.
